Spicy Masala Chicken Curry : Spice Up Your Life with This Easy and Delicious Chicken Curry Recipe

If you're a fan of Indian food  then look no further than masala chicken curry. With its blend of aromatic spices and tender chicken, this dish is sure to become a family favorite. It's a spicy, flavorful dish that's sure to satisfy your taste buds.

Recipe: Spicy Masala Chicken Curry (serves 3-4)

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of chicken (preferably with bones)
  • 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, minced
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup of water
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped, for garnishing


Cooking instructions:

  1. Wash the chicken thoroughly and cut it into medium-sized pieces. Set it aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a large pan or kadhai over medium heat. Add the onions and fry them until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add the garlic, ginger, and green chilies to the pan and fry for a few more minutes.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook until they are soft and mushy.
  5. Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to the pan. Stir everything together and let it cook for a few more minutes until the spices are fragrant.
  6. Add the chicken pieces to the pan and mix well with the masala. Fry the chicken for 5-7 minutes, until it starts to brown.
  7. Add a cup of water to the pan and mix well. Cover the pan and let it cook on low heat for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  8. Once the chicken is cooked, garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
